Types of Skin Cancer
There is a variety of skin cancer types, however the three main types of skin cancers are:
1) Basal cell carcinoma (BCC)
2) Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC)
3) Malignant melanoma
The most dangerous of these is the malignant melanoma, which is predominantly caused by the sun’s UVA radiation.

Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world. In fact, two out of three Australians are diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70. So it’s vital a number of precautionary methods are adopted daily, to reduce the risk. These measures include: Decreasing indoor tanning and midday sun exposure, wearing sunscreen daily on exposed areas, using shading methods when exposed to the sun and avoiding the use of tobacco products.
